The One Thing I Value Most In Life

What I value most in life is electricity; electricity helps me in every single part of my day. Electricity powers my TV, which entertains me when I am bored, lulls me to sleep when I am tired and distracts me when I am scared. Electricity powers my computer and it helps me learn, I can find anything I want to know at any time anywhere if I want to. My computer lets me talk to my friends without actually needing to talk to them, which is great for when it hurts to talk. It entertains me, it lets me play games, I can watch TV shows using Netflix and Hulu Plus. It helps me do my work, because my handwriting is so terrible, I have failed assignments, but with my computer, I have never had anyone be unable to read my work. Electric lamps let me stay up later and wake up earlier, by letting me be able to see.

Summertivities

Over the summer I did a lot of things, but what I liked the most was Pedal to the Point. I trained all summer, riding my bike altogether way too much, considering the fact that many people think that they cant even do a mile on a bike.
My mom, unfortunately ended up having an allergy attack on the ride and we could only do half of the ride, we rode past a field getting mowed and my mom got a lungful. She's allergic to a kind of grass that only grows in Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky. Even though thirty-five/thirty-six miles is still a lot, I had a ride that was longer than that when I was training. I was really disappointed, because even though I did a lot, I finished on last years ride and I felt like I had failed. It was just like before I got in to ECHS they made me take the math compass test (I had already done Algebra 1 and Geometry, but they wanted me to take the compass test) and I failed, horribly. The lady in the offices had told me they wanted me to take math 021, remedial math, because I got seven questions, two of which were Algebra 1, the rest being varying levels of trigonometry, calculus and more. I felt so bad I wanted to just break down and cry right there, but my Aunt talked to me and told me that her entire group of PSEO classmates failed that test, and my Mom failed it and then went on to ace a statistics test. I plan on doing Pedal to the Point next year, but I will finish next time, with someone else riding with me instead.
Looking back on this and reading it over, I just realized my summer was terrible if this is my best memory.

My Name is alright, I guess

My Name
I’m annoyed by my first name,
Every time I’m met with the same,
A corny joke,
It makes my head smoke!
I think it is totally lame.

My middle name’s not all that bad,
It was the name of my dad’s dad.
I hear he was a serious man,
My dad was his biggest fan.
I think the name James is rad.

My middle name would’ve been Mercury,
He was a messenger, always in a hurry.
My parents realized it would be weird,
When one friend interfered.
He was known for calming others fury.

My last name comes from a town in Germany.
Surrounded by forests imbued with fervency,
Started in the days of monarchy,
When king was head of the hierarchy.
Yet my name does have a harmony.

My family has a tradition of initials,
Our initials spell out words, mine spell agile.
Our personalities are unremitting,
We unfortunately, keep forgetting.
I have to admit, it’s sometimes beneficial.

Number One Rule

My number one rule is no drama. My reasoning behind it is that it is just a waste of time and really annoying. I think that drama is a waste of time because it interrupts everyone, people don't work well when there is drama, and sometimes people won't work at all. It is annoying because drama is rarely quiet, and I don't want to hear about all of everyone's problems because everyone isn't my friend. That is why my number one rule is no drama.
